The Barnwell County Commission on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse was created by Act 1554, passed by S.C. State Legislature in 1973 to provide alcohol and other drug service in Barnwell County. The Commission has since grown into a comprehensive program which provides service in the areas of education, prevention, intervention and treatment. Trained professionals are available to provide services at 1644 Jackson Street, Barnwell, South Carolina (Located across from CVS Pharmacy). In April 1996, The commission adopted it's new name, AXIS I Center of Barnwell. Although the name has changed, the services remain the same. |
Axis I Center of Barnwell Mission Statement The mission of the Barnwell County Commission on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (Axis I Center of Barnwell) is to CARF Accredited Axis I Center of Barnwell received a three-year national accreditation from The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF). This accreditation demonstrates that Axis I Center of Barnwell has substantially met the nationally recognized standards. This accreditation reinforces your trust and confidence that the center has made a major commitment to enhance the quality of services provided. |
