Parenting Wisely Young Children:

Parenting Wisely Young Children is a CD-ROM laptop based parent education program for parents with children 3-9 years of age.

Many of us have never received formal training in parenting skills because they are rarely taught in our schools, communities, or families. What we tend to do is repeat the kind of parenting which was used by our parents. Unfortunately, few of our parents were taught to use appropriate parenting skills in raising us.  Thus, it is not surprising that we are often frustrated when our attempts to discipline and teach our children good behavior are ineffective and lead to family disagreements.

This program will teach you methods for improving family relationships. The methods shown have been proven effective for a wide variety of family situations.  They not only build respect among family members, but they also reduce the number of fights and arguments.  Since these skills help promote good, healthy relationships, you will also find them helpful to use at work and with friends.

Parenting Wisely Young Children demonstrates the most common problems reported in families by illustrating nine typical family problems and the common ways in which parents handle them.
